About Us
OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) at Granite State College is the new “Senior Class.” The mission of OLLI is to build a vibrant and sustainable member-driven organization that creates and provides intellectually stimulating lifelong-learning opportunities for New England residents 50 and above.
Members join purely for enjoyment—no tests, no grades—just the chance to join peers for the joy of learning and the many benefits it brings. Classes and activities offer opportunities to continue a lifetime of learning with programs rich in content, shared interests and life experience.
Most OLLI programs are held at Granite State College facilities and at easily accessible community sites in Concord, Conway, Manchester and the Seacoast. Your membership includes programs at all locations. OLLI classes and activities are led by enthusiastic members, retired educators and experts from the community—all volunteers with much to share.
OLLI at Granite State College is part of a network of over 100 OLLIs at colleges and universities nationwide, all grant-funded initially by the Bernard Osher Foundation. Thanks to generous support from both the Foundation and Granite State College, OLLI has grown steadily since its inception in 2004.
The Bernard Osher Foundation
Development of a lifelong learning institute at Granite State College is made possible through initial funding from the Bernard Osher Foundation. The Foundation has awarded grants to over 100 colleges and universities throughout the United States to develop institutes that focus on the learning interests of seasoned adults.
